About the Society

The Society of International Gulag Researchers is dedicated to exploring, preserving, and sharing the history of the GULAG and the stories of those who were affected by it. Our global community of historians, scholars, survivors, and descendants works collaboratively to bring these crucial chapters of history to light.

Our primary mission involves the systematic collection and analysis of historical documents, personal memoirs, and artifacts related to political prisoners, prisoners of war, and forced laborers. We organize international conferences, academic seminars, and commemorative events to promote a deeper understanding of the human tragedies associated with the GULAG system.

We actively collaborate with universities, research institutes, and cultural organizations worldwide to ensure that the memories of the victims are preserved and honored for future generations. Our commitment to historical truth remains at the core of our daily efforts.
